Luiza Perez Braga (they/she) is a stage manager born, raised, and based in New York City. They are getting a BA in Theatre Arts with a Design and Technology concentration from SUNY New Paltz, NY and expect to graduate in May 2026.

They are passionate about stage management as both a craft and a form of service. Luiza prides herself on their ability to balance creativity, organization, empathy, precision, professionalism, and fun! Orchestrating the exchange of information and creativity, while cultivating community and joy is at the heart of Luiza’s stage management style and is a reminder of why they do what they do.

Outside of the theater, Luiza loves to cook, read, play board games, and hang out with their two cats!

In the spring, Luiza will be Technical Director for The Inseparables, a student-led production she is on the committee for, along with Assistant Stage Managing and Deck Managing Legally Blonde. Luiza will also be working on and presenting her Honors thesis, which is about deck managing and being the rail captain on Legally Blonde, SUNY New Paltz’s first production back in McKenna Theater!
